WK2 Raffle... :(

Well, bummer. I didn't win a 2014 Grand Cherokee. And neither did anyone else. :(

THE JEEP RAFFLE TERMS and CONDITIONS document includes the following clause:

A maximum of 2500 tickets will be sold. If fewer than 1215 tickets are sold by May 30, 2014 Midnight a 50/50 drawing will determine the Grand Prize winner. The winning ticket holder will receive 50% (no less than $5,000) of the gross income. In that event, a JEEP or $35,000 will not be awarded. The Nine Additional Cash Prizes will be awarded regardless of number of tickets sold.

Only 690 tickets were sold, therefore the Grand Prize winner has been determined by a 50/50 drawing.

I guess a good question to ask myself next time is whether the group raffling the grand prize has a history of actually awarding the prize. Sounds like sour grapes a bit, I know. It's not really - heck, I thought it was a great idea and was kind of hoping I'd have a matching set of GCs in the garage. But I do wonder how much marketing of the ticket sales the club actually did? Does anyone know if they historically do raffle off the top prize? I wonder how many ticket sales were to folks right here on jeepforum.com? I know that's where I found out about the raffle.



Ah, maybe next time. Still enjoying the heck out of our 2014 GC when the wife let's me drive it.
