2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee Turn Signal Problem

I have an '07 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. When the turn signal is in the left or right position, neither turn signal turns on. When the lever is in the middle position, the left turn signal activates. So to keep the signal off, I leave it in the left or right signal position, but every time I turn my steering wheel it makes the lever go back to the middle position and my left turn signal activates. I think it has something to do with the relay but I am not sure. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
