ladies and gents,
I have never been to Moab and since the good ole ARMY has me stationed in Colorado, I am planning a trip there. myself and a buddy of mine have two decently capable jeeps! His a JK 4in Terflex long arm, 1in Body on 35x12.5 r17 bfg m/t. Mine 98 TJ 4in Tereflex long arm, 1in body, on 35x13.5 r15 bfg krawlers, front and rear(ford 9in) arb lockers, hyd brake assist, custom roll cage, welded sliders, underbody panels and the list goes on. both have warn winches.
With all that being said, I need some help or ideas planning this trip. It must take place in late NOV or Dec because we are currently in Iraq. we will have 35' plus campers (2) one 4door ford w/trailer to pull my jeep, and as of now, two jeeps. hoping to have more. so, where to stay?
I am an adrenaline junkie, but the wife, not so much. So the hardest trail Im looking at doing is cliff hanger. Any other suggestions?
all in all, I need advice on location for camping (close to the trails), with great scenery, which trails would be good for the beginner passengers(fear factor) to get them warmed up and understand the capabilities of a jeep. And, any trails that would be completely out of the question due to snow/weather.
Sorry this is so long, I am just a very thorough person. So please be thorough in return. And feel free to join us in December!!!!!! the more the better.
