I just got a 87 YJ wrangler with the inline 6. It hasn't been registered since 2007 so I am prepping it to get smogged here in CA. I has exhaust leak at the manifold where the exhaust pipe connects. The nuts on the flange were giving me fits. I got the front one off finally, but the back one refuses to come off. No it's rounded. So I am thinking of cutting the stud and retapping the manifold. Issue is there is a pipe connector right below the flange on the exhaust pipe that I can't get one of the smog related tubes off. Can I cut it also to drop the exhaust pipe?
