What year to buy

I have had 2 Jeeps...a 96 Grand cherokee and a 2001 xj sport 2.5TD ....Loved em! but what a ***** changing the starter motor!!!!!!



I now want to buy another Grand Cherokee and was wondering if the problem of noisy axles had been solved on the newer Jeeps and if so from what year.
