There are a ton of threads on this already, but I wanted to put mine in here as I work through the diagnostic process (and because I couldn't find one with my symptoms).
4.0 is throwing the p0300 code, along with several individual ones (I think 0301, 0302, 0304). It idles fine, revs fine, but under load it seems to have to increase the rpm's more than it used to before shifting and is HURTING to get to 55mph. When I am under heavy acceleration, the CEL flashes. It is constant on otherwise.
I have recently replaced a bunch of parts, but the symptoms and codes did not show immediately. It's been driving fine for a month.
Here are things I replaced before CEL was on:
New head (replaced as a prevention to the 0331 head). New BOSCH 4-hole injectors, new NKG plugs, new pre-cats. 02 sensors are a year old.
I think with the various cylinders throwing codes, it is something that affects all of them.
I'm going to start by checking fuel pressure then seeing about replacing the CPS. Not sure where after that. Maybe
