FIRST AND FOREMOST I AM LOCATED IN PORTLAND, OREGON. You'd have to be local to make this trade work as I am not willing to do anything long distance.
First off let me start by saying that I'm not even sure I want to get rid of this car, actually... I haven't owned it that long and it's an absolute blast to drive. I think the real issue is that being as though I've got a family I find that the car doesn't get driven at all which is mostly due to the fact that it's a 2 door and we have a 18 month old girl who requires a car seat. No way in hell I am trying to get a car seat in the back of the M3. I guess at some point I just figured maybe I would have been better off if I'd bought a car that was a little more utilitarian. Having owned numerous Jeeps in the past I feel like a Jeep would get the job done.
As far as what I am looking for goes... I am only interested in trading for a TJ Rubicon or a 97-01 XJ (it would have to be SUPER clean and not off roaded at all) plus cash on your end. I'm not interested in any cars that have been heavily off roaded or have damage from being off road. I'm not interested in cars that have HUGE lift kits or monster tires. I like a little lift and a big tire but anything bigger than 33" to me and it's just too much. Remember, I'm looking for a car I can drive on the road comfortably.
The car needs to be reliable, it needs to have somewhat low miles, and it needs to be very well maintained. I will not trade for a car that has any mechanical issues, oil leaks, or any leaks for that matter. I'm looking for something that is a mechanically sound car and will be dependable for our family but still have some power at the same time. Last but not least, I'm not interested in cars that do not have clean titles or history of accidents.
Anyways, about my M3...
This car is a 2003 BMW M3. The car is carbon black metallic with nappa black leather interior. I purchased the car from the original owner who purchased it brand new from the BMW dealer (Kuni BMW) back in 2003. The guy who bought this car had it fully optioned out with EVERY SINGLE OPTION YOU COULD GET from the factory. It has the cold weather package, premium package, harmon kardon sound, factory navigation, rear airbags, and even the ultra rare rear sunshade feature.
The car has 123k miles on it and all of the maintenance has been done at the BMW dealer where it was originally purchased. The most recent maintenance includes adjusting the valves, rebuilding the VANOS, and replacing the SMG pumps for the transmission. All of this work was completed by the previous owner and the records are on file at Kuni BMW. DO NOT let the mileage fool you, this car is worlds cleaner than almost any other E46 M3 you will find, bar none. You'll be shocked when you see the car in person at how immaculate it is inside and out.
The car has been very tastefully modified to include Koni adjustable shocks, Eibach springs, a VF Engineering intake and tune (dyno proven 35+ wheel horse power), and that's it. The windows were professionally done with a non fading carbon film in 35% all around. This car has an SMG transmission that has recently had the pumps replaced among other things.
I have coded several features on the car including the CSL transmission tune, M-track mode, fogs on with high beams, disabled amber running lights, one click unlock with FOB, and numerous other things.
The car does not have a single scratch anywhere on it and has not a single dent either. The only issue at all are small rock chips on the front bumper which is to be expected on a car this age. Other than that every single thing works perfectly and it has ZERO running issues whatsoever including NO oil leaks. The carpets are flawless. Underneath the brand new floor mats you'll find carpet that has no stains, wear marks, or tears. It's literally pristine!
The car has the factory 19" ZCP competition wheels (not the cheap CSL replicas like most people get), BRAND NEW (I mean 10 miles total) Michelin PSS tires, and a host of other things.
I have dealer receipts for at least 2k worth of interior trim pieces I replaced since the original ones were worn. I also have receipts from the BMW dealer showing that I very recently purchased the factory ZCP / CSL wheels for $1600 plus $1000 for the Michelin PSS tires. The car is up to date on all of the recalls as verified by Kuni. I've also verified all the maintenance done by the previous owner with Kuni as well including the SMG pumps and VANOS.
I kid you not that this is one of the cleanest E46 M3s you will ever find, period. I am a BMW enthusiast and always have been. This car is NOT parked outside, online in a heated garage where it NEVER sees rain. It is not my daily driver and probably sees 1k miles a year or less. It's fast, it's fun, and it's sporty as hell.
I'm selling the car outright for 16k. I've had numerous calls on it so far at that price so I am going to stick to that as the value of the car. The market with these cars is all over the place. You'll see bad condition ones starting at 10k with salvaged titles and they'll go all the way up to 30k for mint ones.
Anyways, I won't be checking this thread so please either PM me, email me at chris@digitalskydesign.com, or call / text me at 503.701.5752. Thanks guys!
