Help me diagnose some problems please

dimanche 7 septembre 2014

Ok, Ill add a picture in a moment, but I have a couple issues.

First issue: I switched out the rotors a couple of days ago and did the front wheel speed sensors at the same time. Pretty easy swap and I was done in about 45 minutes... it was a PITA to get the wheel spacers off. Anyway, everything went back together just fine, and now I stop like a champ. The problem I am having is that as I am driving under 15 miles an hour going straight or slowing down more and turning, I am getting a very annoying clicking sound on the right side, like something is hitting the brake dust shroud. I pulled everything apart just now and could not find anything touching. Ideas?

Second issue: The right side of the engine bay (nothing on the engine at all) just the area below the air filter box is covered in a dusty grease. It is even into the wheel well behind the strut. I check the strut, brake line, everything... So I pulled the air box and there was a rubber hose, attached to a round connector that had a little cap on it. The hose was just laying there. After looking at it for 10 minutes, it looked like it should be slipped on to a bolt head near where it was laying. Fit was perfect.

So now the question, what is it? And from what I can tell it was the source of the oily substance... so now what would cause enough pressure to push out the oil. Do I have a blockage somewhere? From what I could feel, the hose runs down to the bottom of the engine, maybe the oil pan? While I'm looking any ideas? I hate a dirty engine.
