Here's a photo of my wheels:
The very center cap appears to be metal. There's a plastic center cap that goes over it, and the rest of it is a plastic cover. One of the plastic hub caps is cracked, and one of them has a loose plastic center that makes noise... and I'm just plain sick of them. They gotta go  Underneath the plastic is a metal 5 spoke rim in the same basic shape as the plastic wheel cover. The rim has some surface rust on it.
What I want to do, is keep the silver metal center cap and plastidip the rest of the rim black, and I have a few questions on that.
What kind of prep do I need to do? I imagine I have to sand the surface rust on the rims, right? What kind of sandpaper is best for that?
Can I do all four rims with 1 can of plastidip or would I need 2 cans?
