Blend Door Repair (AZC) Using Single Zone Kit

I am going to do the blend door repair through the glove box on my 99' Limited. Living in Michigan I typically either use Heat or A/C so I'm not worried about having dual zone control. Would the single zone kit be a better option? Will the drive shaft rely on one less motor this way? (The drivers side being the sole motor used to control the blend doors?) I know the drivers side motor is much easier to access in case of failure compared to replacing the passenger side.
