thrust bearing oil hole

I am rebuilding my 4.2 out of my 1981 CJ. While installing the main bearing I noticed that the oil passage hole on the thrust bearing doesn't line up with the oil hole in the block. Is this correct? I actually have two sets of new bearing and both look this way. Should a drill a hole that lines up then smooth it out so it doesn't damage the crank?
