Alright, so a few questions due to recent events when working on my 95 4.0 Laredo.
So, first: The brakes. For a while after getting my new tires, I had been experiencing this strange vibration and rumble-strip sounding noise any time I decelerated on the highway [Either via braking or simply coasting on flat or uphill]. When I took it back to the tire place and asked, they checked it out and told me is was warped rear rotors. I knew my rear brakes were bad, so that was something I knew I'd fix.
Now, I as of yesterday replaced the rotors and pads. And now... the vibration and noise is still there. It's dulled, but it's there still, again only when decelerating. I'm wondering if it was the warped rotors, or if something else might have been the issue? It's ONLY at highway speeds [Above 45/50 MPH] that it's there, and ONLY when decelerating by braking or coasting.
Second: When I replaced the rotors and pads on my right rear [Passenger rear] I noticed that the Stabalizer bar... was not connected. In fact, it was completely broken off. Like, the end of the bar was there, but the screw which held it on along with the bushings and the assembly was not. Unfortunately I haven't been able to get a picture yet [Will try to upload one tomorrow] but I'm just wondering if this might be causing any issues I'm not aware of? Perhaps sounds I'm not aware of?
Third: I was going to take my car in for Inspection because Massachusetts requires them, but right off the inspection guy told me he'd have to fail me due to an exhaust leak he was able to hear, and was nice enough to tell me before I even pulled into the garage bay. This isn't the first time I've been told about this Exhaust leak sound, and I've replaced Exhaust before on a previous car, so I know how to do it, but I was wondering about specifically brand and products. It seems the only brand I can get for Exhaust on my normal supplier is Walker. Is this a good exhaust set? I'm not trying to go custom, just replacement. If there's a better which acts as stock or is better than stock without being Obnoxious, I'd gladly take the suggestions.
Thanks in advance!
