Kickstarter CNC

Hey guys, just wanted to ask you guys of the viability of a CNC funded through Kickstarter.

First of all I'm a very small business, if you can even call it such. I am here in central Missouri and I operate only through word of mouth. I have used craigslist and facebook to extend from time to time but I keep fairly busy part time projects on the side of the military, college, and family. I had a deal through a local CNC guy that would cut pretty much anything I wanted for pennies on the dollar, but he sold his table a while ago. I've had several people come to me looking for bumpers and brackets and since then he sold. Thankfully I have a few buckets full of tabs and such that I had him cut before he had sold his table. I figure that I could pay off a plasma table in a year or so, but because of college and being a single income family, I can't quite justify trying to get a loan. However, if I could kickstart the table. I'd be able to offer the Kickstarters quite a bit of work, practically at the price of just the steel. I have two days a week I could have the table churning out parts for whatever, whether it be jeep parts or grills, tables, etc. Before I got too deep into this, I was curious if there was actually anyone curious for something like this. I've designed everything on Autocad for the last few years and I know there will be a slight learning curve going from AutoCAD to whatever program the CNC requires. However, I could start turning out work the week after I receive the table I believe. The local shops right now are charging roughly 500 dollars for a 4x4 sheet of 1/4 steel to be cut, strictly labor on the table. I brought them the cad drawing in working order without them having to do anything more than open it up and press play. This doesn't include the steel. My plan would be to cut that down to less than half that.

So, what do you guys think? Is this something y'all thing people would be interested in? Should I just buckle up for a loan?
