I had this issue with my '95 wrangler with the turn switch in that the left turn would not reset when turning left. I've lived with it knowing it was eventually going to fail. Anyhow eventually it went to the point that the switch was unable to hold it's place as in gravity led it to sit in the left turn position but this time there was no resistance to the lever and the signals no longer work.
I took it to a mechanic I've known for some time and he removed the switch thinking it's most likely the switch. On inspecting it he also mentioned that the object that hoses the lever is also probably faulty. Thing is that the darn thing is part of the casing that hoses the lever and ignition switch. Spent some time looking for parts on autoshops and some junkyards. Issue with autoshops is I don't know what the darn thing is named and issue with junkyards is that I live in Jersey and as soon as a pre '99 wrangler pops up in the junkyard it's either stripped of all useful parts or someone buys the whole thing same day it appears.
So only place I can go is here and have a hope you guys know where the heck I can get this part. Pictures of the piece is attached.
