Decided to document my ZJ's journey to glory...ish. I figured I'd keep all my crap in this thread since parts are starting to roll in. My goal for this project is to have a reliable explorer. Make it a little more "capable" than stock but not modified to the point where it's uncomfortable and not ideal for daily driving.
Background: its a 93 Limited. Bought from family friend at 200K miles. Engine ran great but had start-up issues, intermittent stall, multiple warning lights, noisy rear lsd, and tires had good tread but dry cracked sidewalls.
Fixed all the warning lights, start-up issues, stalling issues, noisy lsd, and it now runs pretty great considering it has 200k.
Stock:
After new wheels, tires, and BB.
New lights from 1A Auto:
For comparison sake:
Parts replaced so far:
-Lamp outage module
-Spark plugs, wires, and rotor
-Starter
-Alternator
-Fuel filter
-Air cleaner
-Motor mounts
-Heater core
-Drive belts
-Transfer case linkage bushings and bearing
"Mods:"
-Teraflex BB
-31" General Grabber AT2's on Black Rock steel wheels
-Drum -> disc with prop valve
-NP242
-Kenwood head unit (dunno if it qualifies but stock one was dead)
-Energy sway bar bushings (because stock ones were toast)
In-process aka piecing together because I'm not rich:
-3.5" Rubicon Express Springs
-Rubicon Express double sheer track bar
-Bilstein 5100's
-Iron Rock Offroad adjustable control arms
