Hey Guys. A buddy and I are planning a trip with some friends out to Colorado sometime in 2015. I have a 97 Cherokee that is stock now but by then will have 3" lift, 31's, some skid plates and maybe a few other small things. He is in a 2009 Tacoma with currently 3" lift but plans on possibly lifting a little more and adding bigger tires and bumpers. As of now it is just those 2 vehicles but could be more by then.
We are wanting a place with moderate level trails, nothing that is going to tear up the vehicles but want something that is a little challenging. We plan on going out and camping where we ride and would be willing to try a couple different places. We have thought about taking our mountain bikes and doing trails on those but not sure if we have enough time.
So for my questions, how long would be needed including around 9 hr drive both ways. Also what time of year is best to go that won't be overly busy and cooler weather.
Any other advice for our trip on what to take and what not to take would be greatly appreciated! It will be my first trip like this and am really looking forward too it!
Thanks!
