Ok I've read several threads about probable leak places. Here's my story/question. I had an oil leak on my 2000 4.0 Grand Cherokee WJ, My mechanic replaced the oil pan and gasket ( he thought it was rusted through) when I took it in for inspection. It came home as bad or worse. I replaced RMS and a new pan gasket following the suggested posted method. It does not leak while sitting still. If I drive down the road at >45 MPH I could get arrested or maybe a be featured in a Batman movie for putting down an awesome smoke screen. The oil pours out like a drop every few seconds then drips on the exhaust and instant smoke screen. Please give me guidance. Certainly looks like it drips from the bottom of the trany (rear main area) But I can't see exactly where it's from. Shoved rags around back of valve cover ( where I can't see) they did not get fresh oil on them. Also this happened after my jeep sat for 3 months. Wisdom welcome.
