I've been fighting with a slight steering issue since installing the 2" BB on my ZJ, was hoping to get some opinions.
Here's the symptoms: at a variety of speeds (as low as 35 mph, as high as 75 mph), I get pretty bad bump steer going over rough surfaces and a steering shimmy resulting. Perhaps the start of a DW issue? I'm knew to solid axle vehicles. It's not violent at all, just irritating as hell.
I've checked the ball joints and front track bar - nice and solid and also had the tires rebalanced, so I'm suspecting a tie rod/drag link issue. What's odd is I got an alignment following the lift and the shop didn't mention anything about bad TR ends.
This thing just rolled over 85k miles, so I know the steering is all original apart from the new stabilizer I installed. There looks to be some horizontal play in the driver's TR end and one of the seals on the drag link is leaking. Would I be overdoing it if I were to replace all of the stuff there? (tie rod and drag link ends, as well as tie rod and drag link).
