2-Pin Connector behind radio, early ZJ?

jeudi 27 août 2015

Hi, I noticed that behind my radio in my 1995 Orvis there's an unused 2-pin connector. It's a black plug with red in the middle, and the wires are purple/black and white/black. It looks just like the ones in later ZJs used for steering wheel controls. Is it possible that it just syncs the headunit time with the VIC? I actually have the later ZJ head unit in my Jeep, however it does not have the two-pin socket in the back. I'm going to try and get one soon to test it out, but my VIC does not work at the moment so I won't actually know. I'm confused about this because I thought that ONLY the later ZJs did that stuff, using the CCD bus.
