basically the frame rusted out on passenger side where the transmission mount is. so the transmission dropped about 4-6". after this happened, I started hearing a bunch of clunking or tapping. it doesn't vibrate the jeep, doesn't affect the shifting, it's just an extremely loud noise. It almost sounds like the drive shaft spinning.
can this noise be associated with the transmission dropping because of the cross member frame rusting away? I'm asking because I got an offer for $600 to buy the jeep.
