OK guys heres the deal:
Sat afternoon I replaced spark plugs in my 97 4.0 six banger, I've done the cap and rotor a month or so ago when I had PCM issues.
Some were not so tight but everyone of them was white as the kitchen sink!
Not even a hint of tan color on most of them!
Now old school Mechanics always "read" plug color as way to determine engine condition and spark plugs this color tell me I am way to lean or have a vacuum leak!
The ZJ has 197K on it and the motor pulled a whole 17 inches of vacuum this afternoon after a 50 mile drive and short cool down.
Might not be an issue but tomorrow evening will be spent with a can of WD looking for leak!
How about the rest of the 4.0 drivers? Plug color off or am I just not in with the lean engine programs currently being run?
