Ecodiesel oil

So I read that the ecodiesel can only run pennzoil platinum. Is this true or would amsoil be a better oil I can get a deal on amsoil and do the changes myself. Just wondering if anyone has some insight into this. I don't want to void my warranty for some stupid reason as not using the right oil. But as long as it is the same grade of oil what could be different about pennzoil and amsoil pretty sure amsoil would be better no?
