windshield wipers not working 1997 TJ

So today on my way to work, it was raining so I turned my wipers on, and they worked just fine. Turned them off because it wasn't raining anymore, and then started again, went to turn on my wipers again and nothing. I checked the fuse and its not blown. I need to troubleshoot to see if its the switch on the column or the motor. If its the switch, I'm thinking about going the cheap and reliable way and just tap into the wires and mount a switch on the dash next to my fog lights switch. Has anyone had this issue before and what was your fix? Also, does anyone know where I can get an electronic copy of a wiring schematic? Thanks
