84 CJ all original drive train, 84,000 miles, 258 engine.
Looking at upgrading ignition and carb for better reliability and performance, but this thing is so stock I feel like I'm being the hacker. You know, if it ain't broke....
The only issue so far (I've had this jeep about two months) is Engine will stall momentarily when first getting into gas at low RPM, like just cruising around and up shifting. When you first touch the gas pedal it hiccups then picks up and runs fine.
Should I nutter it and install 2100, or keep it stock and maybe a rebuild kit for carb. I have already purchased the MSD CDI ignition, plug wires, and coil anticipating the ignition upgrade. But now getting cold feet. If it was a hack job with gremlins hanging everywhere it would be a no-brainer. But everything works including the AC. Just a little carb issue it seems.
