RMS (rear main seal),,,,yeah I'm an idiot, any hope?

So I am the do-boy for the wife's 97 tj. When we 1st got it about a year ago I noticed several leaks. While having a friend weld new lca brackets we fixed some leaks (new power steering unit, front diff seal), then I took on the freeze plugs myself,,,,,,,had it completely "drip" free.,,,,,,,,,here comes the D-A ocd in me,,,,,while changing the oil I noticed goop all over the oil pan and on the shield between the engine and transmission and said I can clean all this up. Figured I would pull the oil pan replace the gasket and see how the lower end looks,,,,,,,has 235,000 miles on it. I thought well with all the common problems I will replace the rear main seal while I have pan off. So hours later it's all done,,,,,used felpro gaskets as well as mopar sealer, carefully threaded upper half, all as it was described in daily driver article. Buttoned everything up after cleaning all the goop and gunk off pan and shield, all well,,,,,,,,so I thought. Now for the last day every time you park it it leaves about a dime to nickel size oil drip! The drip is coming from the bottom of the transmission housing....the shield and oil pan are completely dry......any ideas?

I wish now I had just left well enough along since it has been drip free since the freeze plug replacement over 6 months ago.

If any good news bottom end looked good for 235,000 miles.....had a little sludge in pan but not bad.

Really don't want to do seal again, could that be the only culprit??
