oops.
i made a 'i haven't slept in a year because my 1 year old likes to cry all the time and i finally got some time in the garage' mistake.
when installing my 8.8 i moved my shock mounts up a good 2.5" from the stock location and didn't even think about the effects it would have on the shocks.
well last time we were out wheeling, i bouced her pretty good, bottomed out the shocks, and my less than perfect upper mounts ripped off (as you can see, they were rusted to bloody hell anyways) ripped both clean off.
anyways, i've order new stock mounts from rock auto which i'm hoping arive today.
just wondering what you guys have done to address this. i'm running rubicon express monotubes that are 24" long with a 4.5" zone lift. (springs and shackles)
i'm hoping to keep the shock mounts up nice and high. i also did a ubolt flip using chevy spring bucket plates and square ubolts, so the springs are my lowest contact point in the rear (it looks really slick actually) so hence i'd hate to have my shock mounts hang lower.
looking at the teraflex extensions. so is that a better option than ditching my brand new shocks and running a shorter one?
thanks gentlemen.
