Hey everybody, so before I start asking questions id like to just mention this is my first post on the site and I did as much digging as I could as to no repeat noob questions.
So with the information I've gathered, this is what I've come up with:
I intend to run a 33x12.5x something tire.
I'm aware the backpacking on the stock JK's is 6.25 which will cause rubbing given the tire I plan to use. So using a wheel with a 4.75 or less backpacking is my go to plan.
The questions I have are:
Is there a reason why the majority of people run a 15x8 as opposed to 16x8 other than cost?
Is a wider wheel "better" for a 33x12.5 tire and if so why don't more people run a 17x9 wheel with a 33x12.5 tire?
I also think I should mention I want the wheel/tire combination to look thick and beefy as opposed to tall and thin.
And lastly, I'm looking for longevity in the combination and jeep itself as I plan to do little off-roading but want an aesthetically appealing build.
