Ok, I'm getting codes P0442, P0455, P0456 all leaks in the evap system.
I bought a new gas cap, replaced vacuum lines at the manifold, replaced the solenoid on the drivers side fender and still get the codes. All vacuum lines look and feel okay.
I do smell gas at the back of the Jeep after I turn it off once in a while. If the codes are set the pump behind the passenger wheel seems to click about once every second. Once I clear the codes it seems to stop (both while engine is running).
I pumped compressed air into the system at the solenoid (disconnected the lines from the solenoid) and pumped the line that runs to the back. The whole system seems to hold pressure it is slowly leaking down out of the breather filter looking thing next to the canister behind the rear wheel. If I loosen the gas cap it will hiss out of there.
So it seems like there are no lines leaking and the pump in the rear works. What else could it be?
Also, there is a box under the battery with a vacuum line that runs to it, what is that for?
