hey all, my first post here...finally working on an old junker cj I've had for 10 years.
304 that came with needed $2100 in machine shop work, so I got a 360 out of a wagoneer and am in the process of putting the transmission on it.
I noticed that the clutch fork was wobblin and found that the fork pivot ball was gone, and the aluminum underneath where the ball went was also worn smooth.
I found a threaded rod that was broken, as if the pivot ball was the threaded type, but the parts store says it calls for a ball only... This is where I get over my head. Can I make something work here or do I need a whole new housing?
Also, is there a good resource out there which would help me identify my transmission? It's a three speed and says DANA but I'm unsure how to tell the model... Thank you for the help everyone! -ty
