Switching from an Electromotive JFI setup to a Weber 32/36 carb. Jeep hasn't run in 8 years. Cleaned out old gas and installed new o-ring, new fuel pump, new lines, changed the oil, installed new Autolite 985 plugs gapped to .045 and installed new DUI distributor (cyl 1 at top of stroke and timing marks lined up, rotor pointing to cylinder 1 point and in correct firing order). I'm getting spark and fuel to the carb but it's not turning over, not even for a second. If I crank for a while a puff of smoke eventually comes out of the carb. Any idea what's going on? I'm new to carbs, I'm used to FI systems. Any help appreciated!
