So as I drive the ZJ around more and more after getting it out of the shop today, I notice it has slight hesitation from 1st-2nd gear. Very soft feeling if you will. However sometimes it will almost linger in between the two gears and finally catch 2nd. Its definitley not a slip because it always grabs 2nd gear within a seconed or two.
The donor 44re I had installed only has 90k on it. All the other gears upshift and downshift just fine. I have no idea how long this transmission was sitting around for, but is it possible that the bands need to be adjusted? How long does it typically take to do so?
I am in no way comfortable to do this myself, as I do not have the know how or tools. Im just wondering as to how long it would take in a shop?
