Had a new rubicon for about four days, never owned a wrangler before. I noticed twice today driving up a fairly steep hill to my house when going 20mph that if I gave it gas, I didn't accelerate at all. It was going 3000rpm. I kept giving it more gas, and it got a bit louder but stayed right at 20mph. After about 5 seconds, it presumably upshifted and dropped to 2000rpm. At this point, I rapidly started accelerating.
A bit confused, I'd expect this behavior with a downshift, but not an upshift! Is there something I'm not aware of, or does it go back to the dealer in an endless futile argument of "well it drives great here on the lot"?
