Ok, my 2008, QD2, 4.7 XK with 165,000 miles is going in for a head/gasket replacement tomorrow. I have the lifetime warranty so it is a no brainer as to who will pay for the work. I would almost rather a trusted mechanic do the work but since I'm not paying it goes to the dealership. They just put in a new transfer case...4 wheel low still does not work and rear diff went in about 1 month ago.
1. What do you guys suggest I look for to see that the work was done properly.
2. Any "break in" period or just drive
3. If they can't fix the 4 wheel low issue (yes i had the N23 update done a long time ago) what would you guys suggest.
4. Any other advice?
Of course if it is not done correctly, they have to fix it but i still have a $100 deductible and will be down 1 car.
