I own a 97' Wrangler Sahara. I bought it used, fixed it up, and now its runs great. It also looks great for its age. But it seems Im overdue for some car trouble:shhh:
For the past few weeks, almost a month at this point, Ive had a problem with my oil pressure readings. When i come to a complete stop, my oil pressure gauge drops and the red CHECK GAUGES light comes on. This doesnt happen every time I stop, but it happens often enough to cause concern. After about a second goes by, the light turns off and the needle slowly goes back to its original position. I want to mention that I have no issues with the vehicle's performance (no lurching, smoking, etc.) but this seems to be indicative of a larger problem.
Ive checked the oil, fluids, and began to use a high grade fuel... nothing abnormal. Im stumped.
What do you all make of this?
