Turn singal problem

Hi guys. On my 85 CJ7 All my lights work but turn signals don't work. I went to replace the round flasher fuse that plugs into the fuse box. But my fuse box looks like it's missing the little metal teeth that the fuse snaps into. And so The fuse seems loose, like it's not making contact with anything in there. I'm stumped. Any possible ideas for a fix without replacing the fuse box? Thanks
