mc2150 tuning

I just purchased 1990 wrangler with 4.2 manual trans. I am new to jeeps and it is intended as a summer toy. I am very mechanically inclined but carbs are not my specialty. Previously owner installed mc2150 carb and claim he tuned and jetted carb. I don't think carbs were his specialty either. It is definitely running rich. Has manual choke and starts cold with no choke at all and smells really rich at all times. Sometimes stutters when going around corners. after sitting approx. 1 hr does not like to start I think flooded. I am at 900 ft above sea level. Does anyone know what tuning spec I should start with ie: jets, screw settings, timing. It is a well worn engine and will not be used off road. also emissions deleted with msd ignition box.
