I will attempt to replace the chain and progressive coupling in my NP247 Transfer Case. Does anyone know if I can just take one side of the case off and change the chain and coupling in situ? If I can change them whilst it is still bolted to the gearbox it would make it so much easier as I don't have the facility to lift the car, nor do I have a transmission jack. I don't really want to dismantle everything either, just in cased I lose some of the roller bearings.
