I just recently took the leap and purchased a 2014 wrangler unlimited Rubicon with the premium sound package. As I have read, I am also not impressed at all with the sound. Distorts at high volume and has very little bass for having a woofer. I have the uconnect 420n/rhb head unit and the woofer in the back. I test drove a 2015 and Wow the sound was 10x better. I was wondering if anyone has been successful in dramatically overhauling the sound system in the 2014 while keeping the stock head unit. I imagine it would take all new speakers, a new woofer, and an amp or two, but if anyone has specifics that really improved their sound that would be greatly appreciated.
