So I've been chasing down a whining noise in the engine compartment for several weeks now. It's been too cold to be outside more than a few minutes. What I initially thought was a power steering pump whine turns out to be the big center pulley. The sound/pitch goes up and down with the rpm. Odd thing is I heard it for a few days then absolutely nothing for few days then the noise returned today. Any harm if I run it like this until warmer weather? Any clues?
