I've got a 95 jeep cherokee 4.0L with 230k miles. I was driving and after pulling on the highway it suddenly began to run very rough. At times it even struggled to idle. The check engine light came on. It kicks out two error codes. The first is for the 02 sensor. The second is for the coolant temperature sensor. Here is what I've done so far:
- replaced the cap, rotor, spark plug wires and spark plugs
- replaced the 02 sensor.
- replace the coolant temperature sensor.
- performed a compression test on each cylinder.
- replace the crankshaft position sensor.
- replace the throttle position sensor.
- used a combustion test tool to check the radiator fluid. came out clean.
Nothing has made any difference and I still get the same codes. Any ideas? thanks!
