I recently bought a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the 4.7L V8 The Quadra-Drive system is not engaging when the tires start to slip, in fact the only way I can get through this winter weather currently is a lot of prayer (haha) and to get up my driveway if there is Ice is to put the jeep in N and put it in 4L. It does engage into 4x4 but ONLY 4Low and I can hear the transfer case, It switches in and out fine. So my question is, is there a sensor on the transfer case that is bad that is causing this? Is it something I have to replace the hole transfer case? or what? Thanks for any help :)
