not on my jeep, but i just purchased a new tow rig.
never had any issues with my insurance at all, in fact quite happy with them until very recently.
Bought a 2005 GMC 2500HD, cash with no loan. Went to get insurance on it, per state law, and i wanted comprehensive coverage as well as the required liability. Insurer asked to inspect the truck and i thought nothing of it.
I was completely surprised when they denied coverage due to a small dent in the hood as well as a small (and i mean small) ding (not even a dent) in the bedside. bodyshop quote is $900 to fix, mainly due to having to paint large area's to properly blend in.
Is this the new standard? i have never had this happen or even heard of it before. even internet searches turn up very little on the subject. in past experience they simply document existing damage and go on, but to deny coverage completely over such insignificant damage is insane.
