Unconnect lag

Just set up my uconnect in my jeep and on my phone and had a few questions.

1) when trying to automatic start or lock the doors from your phone, does it always take a while for it to happen? Seems like it would be simultaneously.

2) how do i get to/download all the updates i have seen numerous threads on?


I know i could look this stuff up but i would rather hear it from ppl that have done it and use this stuff everyday.
