quadradrive ??????

im a newbie and just wondering if there might be something wrong with the quadradrive/ want full controll over 4wd ok long story short it gets stuck in sand / mud all day every day till i put it in 4 lo im worried that the front wont engage unless im in 4 lo any one have any insight? does it just take a while for the front to kick in? snowed recently and i cant go up hill unless its in 4 lo sorry for the newbie post

TL;dr i think my jeep wont go into 4wd unless its set to 4 lo instead of all time 4wd
