Today while tightening the body mount bolt by the upper rear shock mounts I noticed that my ground strap coming from the fuel neck was just dangling. The strap was extremely brittle and the end was rusted. I have no idea how long it's been unattached, though. If I get a replacement strap from the parts store, can I just use a self-tapper to attach it to the body or frame? Why did this come on some years of TJs and not others?
