Hopefully I'm in the right place. I have a burning rubber smell coming from the rear wheel wells of my 1998 xj. It started on the passenger side and with in 2weeks it's on both sides. The brakes aren't sticking, the drums never get hot after my 50 minute drive to/from work. The rims are also really dirty compared to the front ones. The rears have a black slimey residue all over them. Also the brake fluid hasn't changed levels. And it only does it every now and then but becoming more frequent. Any ideas?
