Greeting all, Last year I bought a 90 Cherokee Laredo only to find out the engine didn't have any oil pressure . I pulled the pan to find the oil pump pick up was plugged also the cam looks very scored which would explain the poor engine performance.
So my question is, is there any key things or rebuild tips I need to pay extra attention to on these 4.0 engines. This isn't my first engine rebuild but I welcome any extra info.
My plan is to put a High Output head and intake on this engine. would I benefit from this? Also is the factory grind cam adequate for this rebuild?
