My front drive shaft is making a noise sort of like I am dragging a chain. I thought it was the Cat converter at first, but the noise only happens when driving and not sitting still revving the engine. I went under the car and shook the drive shaft. For one, I can move the drive shaft, and two, it makes the same noise I am hearing. I looked and the cheapest I have found a front drive shaft is $300. Can the existing one be fixed or do I need to just replace it?
